Nuit Blanche

Me and Peggy Olson - think there's a resemblance?

One of my favourite shows, Mad Men, is tragically not airing again until next year, but I’m happy to say you can get your fix of retro glam much much sooner – and closer to home – at Nuit Blanche!

On Saturday, October 1 from 9 pm until 1 am, the foyer of the Manitoba Museum is going back in time to become a Mad Men-inspired mocktail party lounge. Live jazz bands, vintage décor like classic cars and that fabulous furniture I covet every week on the show, and a mocktail bar. The galleries are open, so you can wander through on your own all the way into the wee hours, and there’s no admission cost to the event!

All their staff will be dressed in their best Mad Men cocktail party clothes, and you’re encouraged to dress up and join in the fun.

I call dibs on the Peggy costume! 😉

PS – Nuit Blanche doesn’t just happen in one spot. There are going to be other events happening at downtown culture spots that weekend, so keep an eye on the blog for more!
