When it’s this hot, it feels like an absolute crime to stay in the office for lunch. So I’ve been loving the buskers on Portage and the Out to Lunch concerts at Air Canada Park this summer! Having music while I eat and sitting in a happy crowd gives a great break and sends me back so much more recharged. Starting tomorrow the Winnipeg Chinese Cultural and Community Centre is adding to the lunchtime entertainment!
Tomorrow from 12:00 – 1:00 they’re starting their summer concert series with a free show. There’s music, Chinese kungfu and a lion dance going on right at Air Canada Park. Now this is taking lunch and show to a whole new level. If you’ve never seen a lion dance, I highly recommend you take yourself down to Air Canada Park tomorrow – it’s an amazing combo of timing, drama, and acrobatics. (Not to mention the ability to multitask – I still can’t figure out how they manage to make the lion blink mid-dance). See you there!
